Laine has had a though time getting through high school.Between the move and the tragic
divorce of her parents she doesn't know how she'll make it through her last couple of years. Not only did she have to move to a whole new state, she had to move in with her mother and the man who stole her heart.
Then there's Parker. He's never been right. With his father having left when he was young, and his mother who has been a foster parent through his whole life, he has nowhere to turn but to his writing and surfing. His friends all think that he is strange, but he's bold and not afraid to say what he thinks.
The spark between them is something that Laine doesn't realize at first. But when she goes home for a weekend to see her father, and her best friends, and that perfect picture of what everything used to be like is crumbled, Parker is the only one who she has to turn to.
